In August 2013 Victorinox released a Limited Edition series called Black Ice.

This series consisted of three models: a Classic SD, a Spartan and a Trailmaster.
The series name was inspired by the hard winter mountain ice surface whose structure is so transparent, that it reflects the black background and makes the ice appear black.

The tools of these three models carry an anthracite-black coating.
The scales features a green camouflage pattern.

Each model is supplied with an orange lanyard attached to the keyring; the Spartan and the Trailmaster are supplied with orange-tipped tweezers, with a ruler etched onto its surface.

The production numbers were limited but they were not individually numbered.
The series members were sold in a special cardboard gift box packaging.
