Series List
Swiss Battle SeriesThis special series of seven different knives started in 1983 and ended in 1991 with the issue of the final knife and a special Battle Series Collection set of all the knives. Sometimes known as the Battle Knives, this series commemorates famous Swiss alliances and battles from the middle age time period. Each knife has inlaid scale art of the event and the main blade is engraved with the name and date of the event, as well as a special crest. Each knife is limited to 9999 pieces and has an individual serial number stamped on the liner behind the corkscrew. The knives are packaged in a wooden presentation box containing a serialized certificate of authenticity, and a brief description of the event and the history of Victorinox in German, English, and French.Knives in the series are:

There were 28 models and two accessories offered in Spring/Summer of 1999 with a Fall/Winter line planned but I don't think they were ever issued.Knives in the series are:

The first series features red Cellidor handles with inlaid metal Zodiac symbols on the top scale at the bottom and included the standard Victorinox sheild logo. There is no additional printing on the handles. The second series features a more contemporary design with screen printed symbol artwork and lettering indicating the name of the symbol on the top handle. The standard Victorinox shield is not present. The handles for the knives in the second series are 1 of 4 different colors; red, blue, black or yellow.Knives in these series:
Victorinox National Flag Classic SeriesVictorinox has produced a National Flag Series of Classic knives that have a representation of that countries flag and the country name on the front handle. They come in a variety of colors. This list originally taken from A Collector's Guide to 58mm Small Size Pocket Knives by Daniel J. Jacquart. Please add any photos you might have for one of these knives on this list.Knives in this series
National Flag Classic Alternate Colors Victorinox Deluxe SeriesThe Deluxe was produced as a small series of 6 knives, with 5 of them featuring a high luster enamel finish, and 1 gold scaled model. All the knives feature the same tool configuration of pen-blade, scissors, and nail-file with cleaner tip. Victorinox Classic SD Sterling SeriesThis is a series of the Classic SD knife featuring solid Sterling Silver scales with a number of different textured patterns in the metal work. Victorinox reported the scales to be "handcrafted by one of the world's most prestigious silversmiths" without identifying them by name. Subsequent information appears to identify the company as Lunt Silversmiths. The knives in this series do not have the Tweezers or Toothpick tools. The original documentation states that the Polished and Barleycorn versions have an engraving plate on the back. However, versions of the Basketweave, and Swirl have also had the engraving panel. Which would seem to leave the Hammered version as the only one without an engraving panel; However, the Polished has been available without an engraving panel, which suggests that maybe the original documentation was just wrong. These small knives are beautiful and have a solid feel to them, weighing 40-50g depending on model. This is not known to be a limited series, and as of November 2008 are still readily available. There is some information that suggests that the production may have been halted, but it could just be the lowering of inventory levels. More should be known soon. Knives in this series
